Living a "green" life can get expensive. But there are ways to save money while living well! Check out these fun tips.

You know I’m always talking about ways to save money while living a healthy, wholesome life. A few of my friends in the blogisphere have written about similar topics that I wanted to share with you today!

Ways to Save While Staying "Green"

Buy used

One fabulous way to save is to buy used. Any time you can look on Craigslist or in local Facebook groups for an item that you need, you are basically guaranteed to save money!

Another great thing to buy used is clothing.

Whole Natural Life has some great tips on buying used children’s clothing that you can read about here.

Grow your own food

If you’re not already growing some of your own food that’s a great way to cut costs too. Tomatoes are one of the easiest things to start with!

You Should Grow has a fun list of 5 tomatoes you should grow that you can read here.

Save money with alternative energy sources

If you’ve ever gotten a ridiculous electricity bill, then you might be interested in this article from Healthy Green Savvy on how to get started saving money with green energy sources.

She makes it look pretty simple!

Spend less than you make

This seems like a no-brainer, but it can be hard to achieve. Growing Wild Roots has a great article on a few general steps you can take to get on track with saving money while living life to the fullest.

Make a plan

You know me, I’m a planner. I love lists and pretty worksheets, and knowing exactly where every dollar is going to go.

But not everyone loves that kind of stuff as much as I do! So I made this automated tool that creates a custom 5-week meal plan that uses your recipes and is printer ready in less than TWO minutes!
Grab it here for free!

More Money Saving Tips

These worksheets saved us $15,000 last year and we didn't have to give up anything! Seriously, this is the best budgeting system I've ever seen. Easy to use worksheets for everything in your house, not just food!
