Due to supply chain issues we were forced to make the decision on January 10, 2022 to close The Einkorn Kitchen physical shop and the online einkorn orders.
There were several factors that went into this decision, but the bottom line is that due to supply chain issues we just couldn't get the ingredients we needed to keep up with demand - this included our organic ingredients, and most of all, einkorn flour.
For the last 2 months we have been trying to work out the issues with the supply chain, but things were getting worse, not better. This is not the fault of Jovial, they have been amazing. But it is a reality that we have had to take a long hard look at to see if we could overcome... and we just can't.
It has been such a joy for us to serve you, to read your emails, to talk with you on the phone and in person, and to fill this need in your lives.
We don't know what the future holds for us just yet, but we do know that we are going to continue to support this community in every way we possibly can!
In the very near future, we will be launching a new YouTube channel where we will be sharing all of our einkorn tips and tricks, including how to bulk bake and freeze your favorite einkorn recipes!
While we are heartbroken now, we know that there is nothing to do but keep moving forward, to adapt to this change, and to continue finding ways to serve our einkorn family.
Thank you so much for your support during this time! One thing we were not lacking was orders and demand for our goods, which makes this even more difficult.
