Mix on low with a dough hook, add warm water slowly. Continue mixing on low until ball forms, then continue mixing on medium-low for 3-5 minutes.
Scrape bowl, shape the dough into a ball and place in a buttered bowl. Turn the ball to coat.
Cover with cling wrap and let rise 1.5 hours or until the dough doubles in size.
Punch the dough down and divide into 2 balls.
Place the balls on a lightly floured surface, dust top of dough with flour and cover with a towel, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Making the Pizza
On a lightly floured work surface, roll dough with a rolling pin until it is the size of your pizza pan, or 1/4" thick, whichever comes first. If you find your dough is sticking dust with a little more flour. If your pizza shell tears gently pinch the area back together and continue.
Lightly dust pan with flour. Gently place dough onto baking tray and assemble your pizza beginning with the sauce. Use a spoon to spread sauce, add cheese and other desired toppings.
Bake in preheated oven at 425⁰ for 12-15 minutes.
(Optional) Rub crust edges with melted butter.
Notes
If baking frozen pizza, remove pizza from freezer - remove all wrappings. Place pizza in a 425° oven and bake for 18-22 minutes, depending on how crispy you like the crust! * This recipe is made with Einkorn Flour, but will work well with regular flour as well.
