Both my kids’ first food was avocado, and that’s probably why we have guacamole on the menu often.  I love this easy guacamole recipe, because it’s so simple and the kids love it!

A huge bonus is it doesn’t take a ton of ingredients, so it’s an amazingly quick recipe to add as a snack or to any Mexican dish.

I know there’s plenty of people out there who shy away from avocados because they think they are full of fat.  However, they are a super food!  They provide omega-3 fatty acids and a plethora of vitamins and are packed with potassium.  Your body needs fat, and the right kinds of fat at that; the avocado is the type your body needs!

Make this Easy Guacamole Recipe

This simple guacamole recipe will only take a couple of minutes to make.   Guacamole is the perfect after school snack or addition to meals.  The fresh green color guacamole adds to a plate is absolutely stunning!

We devour guacamole.  Our favorite ways to use it is in burritos, with tortilla chips, and dipping our vegetables in it.  We also enjoy it with baked fish and a variety of chicken dishes, too.

Guacamole even goes great on burgers and with eggs!

STEP ONE

Place your avocados in a bowl and mash them up to the consistency you’d like with a fork.  We like ours creamy and with few lumps.  Kids love to help with this step!

STEP TWO

Add half of each ingredient in with the avocados and then taste it.  Continue to add in more of each ingredient until you reach the taste you like.  You may find that you don’t need all of the spices!

But if you just want a classic guacamole recipe, then dump all the spices in and stir!

STEP THREE

Serve the guacamole right away or follow these steps for freezing the extra guacamole.

TRY THESE RECIPES:  Guacamole goes great with chicken bacon ranch tacos and its amazing to use with chili and nachos, too!
