How to Find a Raw Milk Farm Near You

Victoria Pruett Author: Victoria Pruett   Updated: June 13, 2018

Raw milk is said to be nature’s perfect food. I’m happy to hear that, because I could drink a gallon a day!

But finding it is easier said than done in some states.

North Carolina makes it easy by selling Raw Milk in the grocery store along-side pasteurized milk. But other states, like my home state of Texas, make it more difficult.

In Texas, you have to drive to your local Raw Milk Farm and buy the milk directly from the farmer… Which can be kind of a bummer if the only dairy you know of is 2 hours away!

That’s the situation we found ourselves in after our recent move. Since our family has severe reactions to processed dairy of any kind, if we wanted to keep dairy in our diet (yes please!), then we needed to drive the 4 hour round trip to the farm!

But, after a recent trip with a screaming baby in the back, I began to waiver on our need to keep dairy in our diet!

Of course, we can still buy our Raw Milk Cheese online in a variety of flavors, but getting the milk has to be done in person.

I wasn’t sure I was up for a weekly scream-fest with our son just for a gallon of milk…

My husband wasn’t willing to give up so easily. After a quick internet search, we found a great resource for finding Raw Milk Farms!

This site lists the farms by state and region, which is terribly convenient! In just a few minutes I found that there were several Raw Milk Farms much closer than the one we had been driving to for months!
